Sharing here on behalf of Liz:

I’m pleased to connect you with Gabriel Blanc, Toronto Outreach Coordinator at Toronto for WalkRollMap.org.

About WalkRollMap:

Walking and rolling can be wonderful ways to get around the city

– if streets and sidewalks are safe and accessible. For Toronto

residents who want to get around the neighbourhood safely,

WalkRollMap.org is an excellent crowdsourcing tool for walking or

rolling about in communities. Created with funding from the

Public Health Agency of Canada, https://walkrollmap.org/ maps

micro barriers to accessible walking or rolling not just in Toronto

but across North America and other countries as well.

Micro barriers are anything that makes it harder (or maybe even

impossible!) to walk or roll safely or comfortably in your

community. It might be a missing crosswalk, uneven payment, or

unplowed snow. You can also report if you’ve had a fall or been

hit while walking or rolling. This short tutorial helps you access

the site, report a hazard or concern, a missing amenity such as

sidewalk or bench or report an incident (collision, fall or near

miss): https://youtu.be/xl4mwfglA_0.

Gabriel is eager to partner to get the word out about this resource. Wondering if this would be of interest to the IRDC community?
