[community] Climate change and disability

Dear Community,
Many of our partners globally have made us aware of the disproportionate impact of climate change on people with disabilities. Every negative impact is made worse by the compounding disparities that accompany disability. Emergency preparedness, healthcare response, resettlement services, infrastructure repair, economic support, temporary shelter and other measures do not adequately take disability into account.

We would like to organize an international project to better prepare communities to address this disproportionate impact.  There is a climate change international funding opportunity with the New Frontiers Research Fund. This requires participation of 3 countries, 2 national funders, multiple sectors, and multiple disciplines. https://www.sshrc-crsh.gc.ca/funding-financement/nfrf-fnfr/international/2023/international-2023-prelaunch-eng.aspx#2 The Notice of Intent is due on May 2nd with a full application in September.
