great opportunity for anyone interested to get more involved in Toronto
civic action - the posting does not say if there is financial compensation,
but typically the City would provide an honorarium to encourage greater
diversity.
would be great to have more intersection disability advocacy in

Indigenous, Black and other equity-deserving group*
Social Planning Toronto is seeking applicants for the Advisory Group to the
City's Toronto Strong Neighbourhoods Strategy.
The Toronto Strong Neighbourhoods Strategy Advisory Group will share their
perspectives and expertise on community engagement, City-wide networking,
information sharing, capacity building, and community leadership
development with the City of Toronto between June 2022 and September 2023.
The Advisory Group members will work together, respecting all voices and a
commitment to equity, human rights and non-discrimination, to help shape
the restart of the Toronto Strong Neighbourhoods Strategy over the next 18
months.
This role requires a commitment of 6-10 hours/month, from June 2022 –
September 2023. Residents, grassroots organizers and community leaders from
equity-deserving groups are encouraged to apply.
