Hello,
I am reaching out to you today to let you know about an upcoming conference we are hosting on national park accessibility in Canada. This free event will be fully virtual and fully accessible, and takes place over 3 half-days in August 2022. We will have captions and ASL translators for all the presentation.
We are reaching out to you to help spread the word about this virtual 3-day conference.
The attached PDF posters are tagged to be accessible with screen readers, and I will include the text from the posters below which can be used for alt-text if you post images of the posters on social media. We would be very grateful if you'd spread the word amongst your network to those who would be interested in attending or speaking at the event.
Some addition information:
* Conference is fully virtual and accessible, and takes place over 3-half days.
* We will have captions and ASL translators for all presentations.
* We are inviting speakers from research, organisations (both non-profit and for profit) and members of the disability community to speak at the conference. We are also accepting speaker applications in English, French and ASL.
* Conference will be recorded and made available afterwards for those that cannot attend live.
* Conference is FREE!
* To help foster an off-line connection and provide a multi-dimensional, multi-sensory experience we will be mailing out gift bags to the first 100 registrants within Canada (attendance and speakers will not be limited to Canada).
Alt-text for the posters:
