Hey Folks,
Just wanted to tell you all about an IDRC project that has recently wrapped up and is living on the eCampus-Ontario Pressbooks space:
https://ecampusontario.pressbooks.pub/onhumanlearn/
Book Description: This resource explores the importance of, and processes for, humanizing education. We start by exploring what humanizing teaching and learning means: to acknowledge that our relationships are foundational to the work that we do. It aims to make learning inclusive with connection, access, and meaning-making at its core.
This project was co-designed by Students, Faculty and Staff at OCAD University, Mohawk College, Brock University, Trent University, Nipissing University, University of Windsor, University of Toronto-Mississauga
Humanizing Learning was a year-long exploration into ways of transforming education during a pretty pivotal time in education (this whole COVID thing). We had a number of great partners across the province and across many levels of Education. We also had a fantastic MDes grad as a Research Assistant (Thank you Jaime!!).
Jutta, Vera, Lisa, and Iris also did a great amount supporting the project and all its many needs. Thank you all for helping making something so lovely.
Enjoy!
Best,
Jess
