The Centre for Equitable Library Access (CELA) and the National Network for Equitable Library Service (NNELS) are calling for support to push back against a recent discovery that the federal government is planning to withdraw all $4,000,000 of funding for these two groups who are leaders in making accessible books and reading materials available to Canadians with print disabilities.
Here's a CBC news article. And here's CELA's call for action and NNELS's call for action. Calling and talking or and leaving a voice mail is possible too. Members of Parliament address look up form can be looked up. Parliament phone numbers are: 1‑866‑599‑4999 or 613‑992‑4793, and TTY 613‑995‑2266
Sincerely, Mark
