OCAD University (OCAD U) is currently seeking an Educational Developer focused on supporting the integration of inclusive teaching and Universal Design for Learning (UDL) pedagogy and practices through research-driven professional learning activities for faculty and other instructional staff, broadly intended to foster pedagogical reflection and research, enhance educational quality, and support student success in art and design education by removing barriers to learning and education.

This position is part of a team of Educational Developers within the Faculty & Curriculum Development Centre (FCDC), OCAD U’s teaching centre, and serves as the lead contact within the Faculty of Design<https://www.ocadu.ca/academics/faculty-of-design.htm> which has adopted the ethos of Respectful Design<https://www2.ocadu.ca/feature/dean-dori-tunstall-on-respectful-design> throughout its undergraduate programs. Our educational development team works across different areas of our mandate; as such, this role combines faculty development, curriculum development and educational research activities.

Our centre takes a collegial approach to our work, grounded in collaboration and relationship-building, and we strive to integrate our commitments to equity, access and decolonization throughout the different areas of our mandate. We are looking for someone who shares these commitments and has strong leadership skills in post-secondary educational development and Universal Design for Learning, ideally with experience in studio-based art and design education.
