“Training” is not the same as cultural competence. I am so sorry you had that experience. This is another case of all of us on board to let Uber and or Lyft know this is a possible life threatening circumstance. The Driver was completely negligent to harass you for their own ignorance. It would be a completely different situation if they apologized for not being able to accommodate you at the time. I also agree there must be pushback for feedback.
