Dear Inclusive Design Community;
If you are a primary, middle or high school teacher, we kindly invite you to participate in the "Coding to learn and create<https://www.codelearncreate.org/>" project online survey conducted by the Inclusive Design Research Center (IDRC<http://idrc.ocadu.ca/>). The goal of this project is to develop tools and resources to make coding tools and coding education resources more accessible and inclusive.
Through this survey, we would like to better understand which coding tools you are currently using at your school, their strengths, weaknesses and whether you have experienced any challenges using these tools with diverse students. The online survey is a mix of multiple-choice, rating and open-ended questions and will take about 30-45 minutes to complete depending on the length of your responses. Your participation is voluntary, and you can leave the survey at any time. We will keep your responses on a password protected server and secure database.
If you would like to participate, please select the link below to access the online survey. Prior to beginning the survey, you need to read through and acknowledge a consent form. Once you consent to participate in the survey, you will be able to access the survey. Please send this invitation to any other educator who might be interested in participating in this study.
This study has been reviewed and received ethics clearance through the Research Ethics Board at OCAD University [No. 2019-101570]. If you have any comments or concerns, please contact the Research Ethics Office through research at ocadu.ca<mailto:research at ocadu.ca>.
