Dear all,
As many of you know, we had been working on the AODA refresh of the Information and Communication standard prior to the last provincial election. The election caused a delay in the public review. The public review has now been initiated. They have not included the helpful infographics we created on the website. I’m hoping they will do this soon as well. It would be great to get your input.

thanks
Jutta (currently speaking in Singapore)

Dear Committee Members,

As the recently appointed Assistant Deputy Minister of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Division, I am writing to let you know that your Initial Recommendations Report has been posted online for public comment.

Some of you may know me from my previous role in this ministry as Assistant Deputy Minister of the Accessibility Policy, Employment and Outreach Division. I took over this new position when Ann Hoy retired from the public service at the end of June.

The committee’s Initial Recommendations Report can be viewed here: https://www.ontario.ca/page/consultation-initial-recommendations-improve-accessibility-standards-information-and-communications. The Report will be posted online for a period of 45 business days and will close on September 27, 2019.
Thank you for your hard work and dedication in developing your Report and congratulations on reaching this exciting milestone. I would encourage you to share this information broadly with your colleagues and networks.

I look forward to working with all of you in the next stage of the review,

Sincerely,

Susan Picarello
Assistant Deputy Minister
Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Division
