As requested here are some more details about the position.



Work Location: Toronto, 800 Bay Street, 3rd Floor



Hours (is there a possibility of OT): The team operates Monday - Friday,
9:00 am – 5:00 pm. 37.50 hours/week. Work from home may be available on an
as-needed basis provided it does not impact the business.



Reason the Role is Open: new support position for accessibility consulting
for Online Brokerage



Group Information: This team is responsible for ensuring Corporate and
subsidiary public/secure/mobile sites and applications are universally
accessible. They contribute to the creation of standards and best practices
and promote accessibility guidelines across both desktop and mobile
applications.



Job Responsibilities:

-              Reviewing project requirements to ensure accessibility
requirements are captured

-              Working alongside the agile team to help troubleshoot the
development of various projects to ensure alignment to accessibility
requirements

-              Writing user stories for accessibility

-              Reviewing variances



What Project Will the Contractor Be Working On: This role will be
supporting an Online Brokerage redesign to and will focus on making it
accessible to WCAG 2.1 standards.



Who Will the Contractor Be Working With on a Daily Basis: They will be
working with other members of the agile pod such as designers, developers,
editors, and quality assurance.

Must-Have Skills/Experience:

•             5+ years of experience working with Accessibility Guidelines

•             Strong experience with Accessibility Guidelines WCAG (2.0 &
2.1), W3C, AODA, and ARIA

•             Experience with screen readers JAWS & NVDA

•             Experience remediating issues across browsers (IE, Chrome,
Firefox, and Safari)



Nice to Have:

•             Development background is highly preferred (HTML, Java, ARIA)

•             Experience with screen readers Talkback and VoiceOver



Soft Skills:

•             Excellent verbal and written communication skills

•             Problem-solving skills, customer service and interpersonal
skills

•             Ability to work independently and manage one’s time
