I am unsure if I understand this discussion, can someone please help me?

All I see is Firsoosh asking about slack. Why are you asking this? Is the existing list serve not serving its function for you?

I often hear from new members how valuable the listserv is, and I too find it extremely valuable. It is working well in my view, but I don’t know if others are not getting what they need.

I am a member of a number of slack communities. It’s a great tool, especially for project teams working together. What is not so great is that it functions best when there are no other options for the members to communicate – generally it is recommended that email channels be restricted or shut down when a slack community is created, otherwise it is just another optional channel and it tends to fragment the community. If the listserv is not doing its job, maybe it needs to be shut down, but I am very doubtful of that especially as it is such an easy tool for many people who do not have very much Teknowledge or desire to set up a new account I need a new app or platform. For better or worse, email his most people’s platform.

Having said that, obviously has an inclusive design community, we cannot be satisfied with most people getting what they wanted Dash everyone must be able to participate!

But please fill me in, I’m interested in preserving what we have but also meeting everyone’s needs.
