Hello Julia,
Aira and Smith-Kettlewell are looking at way-finding for blind people.
APH, Sendero, and Google Maps all have GPs solutions that are very
accessible.

We are doing research at OCAD on tactile, auditory, and visual maps as well.
Way-finding is an extremely broad subject, so perhaps if there was a
specific part of the way-finding experience you're interested in, I can
help in more detail.
