> Hi there!
>
> My name is Jonathan and I'm a producer on a CBC documentary series. I came across your department through research. It seems like you are doing some exciting things and might be interested in this project.
>
> Red Button is a groundbreaking CBC digital series where young Canadian documentary subjects become the filmmakers, providing remarkably honest perspectives of marginalized and misunderstood communities. It’s a special project that our team is very proud of.
>
> We launched the first season of Red Button last summer:

>
> In the first season, homeless youth in Toronto used camera phones to film their lives. Participants were given audio/video gear and offered a workshop to learn the basics of filmmaking. They also received one-on-one guidance from professional filmmakers to help them record all aspects of their lives: school, home, work, social activities.
>
> They then showed us their world, from their perspective, and their footage was cut into short films that allowed us to connect with them. The response from Canadian viewers was overwhelming.
>
> This season the series is exploring youth in other marginalized communities, including aspects of the LGBTQ and disabled communities. We believe this is a wonderful opportunity to give someone a voice.
>
> We are looking for youth to tell their stories. Do you know anyone that would love to be involved and have this opportunity?

Please forward!
