This is based on W2 so we are looking to submit Status with GC / USC (No C2C

*Description*

Client’s Accessibility Team is seeking a knowledgeable and resourceful
Accessibility Lead to collaborate with development teams.  Our optimal
candidate will not only be able to demonstrate their knowledge and
sensitivity to the access needs of people with disabilities, but also their
experience and strong command of *web technologies (HTML5/ARIA/CSS/JS)* and
their interactions with assistive technology and standards.  If you can
rise to this challenge, we need you!

*Key Responsibilities*

The Accessibility Lead is responsible for identifying and suggesting
potential solutions for accessibility barriers based on the W3C WCAG 2.0
standards as well as compliance with the ADA, Section 508, the Twenty-First
Century Communications and Video Accessibility Act, and other accessibility
related laws.  This team member will apply their accessibility knowledge to
a wide range of the firm’s digital properties including but not limited to
websites, mobile applications, responsive hybrids and digital documents.  This
new team member will bring a depth of development and technical knowledge
which will complement and strengthen an already dynamic, seasoned group of
accessibility professionals. This team member will, also, help mentor and
coach other accessibility leads on accessible engineering and provide input
to our accessibility training and standards team.

*Key Requirements*

•          Broad knowledge of accessibility barriers as well as the tools
and techniques for overcoming them

•          Knowledge of accessibility standards: WCAG 2.0, ADA Section 508,
21st Century Video and Communications Act.  Knowledge of International laws
is a plus

•          Ability to discern accessibility issues from design and code

•          Knowledge of accepted accessibility patterns and best practices

•          Experience in developing accessible digital products and web
content

•          Experience with scrum and agile methodologies

•          Ability to analyze and employ problem-solving skills to
recommend the best solution

•          Ability to analyze code for accessibility issues

•          Ability to guide and coach colleagues and clients in one on one,
small group, or large forum environments

•          Ability to act in both an accessibility consultant and web
engineering role

•          Ability to communicate to a wide range of project stakeholders
(e.g. Executives, Managers, Designers, Developers, etc)

•          Ability to work in a team environment

•          Detailed knowledge of a broad range of technologies:

•          Accessibility on various platforms including Windows and MacOS

•          Mobile accessibility on various platforms including Android and
IOS

•          Video and other digital media

•          PDF and other digital document standards

•          Experience with Assistive Technology (e.g screen readers,
magnifiers, alternative input, etc)

•          Knowledge of technologies including but not limited to:

•          Advanced knowledge of core web technologies: HTML, CSS, and
JavaScript

•          Familiarity with modern web application development practices
and popular JavaScript frameworks

•          Familiarity with Web accessibility standards (WCAG, WAI-ARIA)

•          Deep knowledge of cross-platform and browser compatibility issues

•          Familiarity with SVG , EPUB, MathML, and/or similar technologies.

•          Familiarity of next-version web technologies: HTML5 , CSS4, and
ES6

•          Experience with accessibility APIs

*Some added pluses:*

•          Knowledge of ALM, JIRA and Confluence is a plus

•          Ability to leverage industry knowledge to discern future trends
is a plus

•          Experience with Internet or mobile usability/accessibility
research is a plus
