Role: 


We are seeking a part-time support person who will complement AEQUUM's
leadership team by performing general administrative functions.  These
include managing project coordination activities; the development of
high-quality interactive documents and presentations; and conducting
research in related accessibility topics.  The candidate must have a strong
foundation in document creation and review, using Office 365/2016, as well
as solid organizational skills, and the ability to respond to changing and
sometimes overlapping priorities. 


Primary responsibilities include:

.         Develop and review various content, reports, etc.

.         Ensure completion and accuracy of presentations using MS Word and
PowerPoint. 

.         Ensure that high-end business quality and accessible formatting is
achieved in documents and presentations, to include PDF conversion and
formatting.

.         Support data entry in various applications or tools. 

.         Conduct project coordination tasks including status reports,
dashboards and follow up.

.         Create and manage client invoices and proposals.

.         Conduct and/or coordinate event tasks to support planned
activities.

.         Perform other general administrative and accounting duties, as
required.


Must have:


(List of 9 items) 

.         Strong communication skills - written and verbal.

.         Proficiency with:

o   MS Office Productivity Suite products

o   PDF Conversion/Formatting

o   The understanding and use of project planning tools

o   The use of social media - such as LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.

.         Familiarity with accessibility and inclusion best practices and
regulations. 

.         Familiarity of QuickBooks and basic accounting principles.

.         Experience in event coordination/planning.


Desirable:


(List of 4 items)

.         Knowledge of accessibility principles, guidelines and standards in
digital communication such as WCAG, ATAG, etc.

.         Awareness of Assistive Technology tools such as JAWS, Dragon, etc.

.         Certificate of completion in an accessibility program, such as the
AODA Accessibility Standards; CPACC from IAAP; and/or a certificate from a
recognized college or university accessibility/inclusive design program.

.         Bilingual in French and English - an attribute.

This opportunity is for a 20-25 hour per week position, for a person who can
be flexible to changing demands and can work independently with medium to
minimal supervision.  The candidate must demonstrate the ability to attend
to details and ensure accuracy of documents.  A combination of experience,
skills and knowledge will be considered.
