Hi Lisa,

That is weird. I have indeed seen the "gibberish" bug from time to time and
had to restart the application; however it's never been enough to really
get in our way. We use it all the time, even in courses. Maybe you don't
have the latest version? For Windows, try out the 32bit and 64bit version
and see if your results get better.
