Good Afternoon,

I was wondering if the following email could be sent to the IDRC OCADU List Serve?

Mohawk College's Accessible Media Production graduate certificate program<https://www.mohawkcollege.ca/programs/graduate-studies/accessible-media-production-390>, the first of its kind in Ontario, focuses on creating and producing accessible content across all media platforms.

Some program highlights include:

* investigating the experiences of people with disabilities and how we are moving from accessibility to usability

* receiving intensive training in producing accessible content

? captioning, integrated and described video

? accessible documents using inclusive writing and communication

? accessible social media

? accessible websites

The program is offered through an executive delivery format with students learning theory online during the week (approximately 10 hours plus homework) and hands-on experiences every Saturday for 2 x 16 week semesters. Each course is offered one at a time and students have many work integrated learning opportunities and interaction/networking with industry professionals.

Graduates of the Accessible Media Production program are very well positioned to meet the AODA<https://www.ontario.ca/page/accessibility-laws> and proposed Accessible Canada Act<https://www.canada.ca/en/employment-social-development/programs/accessible-people-disabilities/act-plain-language-summary.html> legislative requirements.

To find out more about the program please visit us at MohawkCollege.ca/390<https://www.mohawkcollege.ca/programs/graduate-studies/accessible-media-production-390> or to apply at OntarioColleges.ca<https://www.ontariocolleges.ca/en/colleges/mohawk> or contact the Coordinator at Jennifer.Jahnke at mohawkcollege.ca<mailto:Jennifer.Jahnke at mohawkcollege.ca>.
