Hi Cybele

Great summary. One thing that should not be forgotten is that Jutta is not
talking about a high school here. But rather a program of higher education
leading to a certification of higher knowledge. That knowledge will be
built around the idea of an entry to practicing the ideals of inclusive
design in professional or at least remunerated manner. For example. before
the Dalla Lana Faculty of Public health become a faculty it was called a
School of Public Health. That designation allowed it to function
semi-independently of the Faculty of Medicine and advance the idea of
"creating condition for health" through a variety of innovative degree
granting programs.

The way higher education is supported in Canada (and globally) is highly
regimented and require officially approved curricula with clearly stated
outcome competencies and differentiation from (less so in the US where
Trump University had brief run). A school also allows a such a program to
be sponsored and supported by multiple existing institutions of higher
education. A good example is the Northern Ontario School of Medicine (NOSM)
that is jointly governed and paid for by Laurentian and Lakehead.

Ultimately the money for higher education comes mostly from the public
purse so a standard accounting path has to be created to allow unique
missions to be pursued. At the same time a School structure can provide a
well understood career path for faculty members and administrative staff.
This would be true even if collaborating institution assigned or recruited
faculty and staff to participate in the mission of the School.

There are also well understood pathways for advancement pathways and
extramural grant administration. A higher education School could also enter
into agreements with Colleges to prepare students with prior learning and
lived experience to successfully navigate the programs offered by the
University level School.

Here is my suggestion for a name
*Colaboratory School of Inclusive Higher Education Innovation and
Advancement (CSIHEIA)* (pronounced SeeYea)

The curriculum could be developed around the higher education skills to
innovate and advance the higher education sector. The Colaboratory would
emphasize the the curriculum will always be evolving and experimental. For
that to experimental nature to be realized careful attention will need to
applied to specifying data formats for measuring success.
