Hi,

Procom KW is looking for a strong QA Web Tester with proven experience in testing relating to the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (OADA).  The selected individual will be testing client facing web sites via desktop and mobile.  The selected individual must have experience setting up clients (Client Profiles) and setting up policies (Auto, Home policy etc. associated with that client).
 
Job Details
 
Our client in the insurance services sector is seeking someone with highly effective communication, ability to quickly learn business rules and drive user scenarios.  The selected individual will also conduct business workflow web and accessibility testing by coordinating with the IT test lead, developers, BA’s, BSA’s, Project Manager and the vendor. This individual will also drive front-end web test planning, scripting and test execution in a very fast paced and dynamic environment.
 
Responsibilities
 
-Analyse requirements & obtain clarifications & develop test scenarios/test matrix per the requirements and specifications;
-Work with requirements as they are being built and develop test scenarios and cases while working with the BA, BSA, and Product & Development teams;
-Ensure traceability to requirements/specifications for test coverage;
-Execute testing based on the planned test coverage;
-Perform system and functional testing based on the planned test cases;
-Update, add test cases and test scripts based on changes and nature of defects fixes;
-Use various software testing methodologies like Risk Based testing, to ensure coverage when faced with reduced testing timelines;
-Work with vendors, Business BA, PM (IT PM and Business PM) to manage moving parts in testing;
-Own the testing effort and provide a faster turnaround especially rework/altered test scenarios;
-Report defects in JIRA in a clear and concise manner with relevant details for an effective triage;
-Take a defect and isolate the root cause starting with the source system.
 
Mandatory Skills
 
-A technical degree (bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience);
-Minimum 4+ years of experience in Web, Front End and accessibility QA testing;
-Financial Services background with Property and Casualty Insurance experience (AUTO, HOME, Etc) especially knowledge of setting up client profiles and policies associated with that client;
-Strong background and experience with A or AA standards in Accessibility per (OADA);
-Expertise in AODA Accessibility Standards;
-Experience testing front end client facing sites via Desktop and Mobile;
-Accessibility is Desktop browser only (Chrome, IE, Safari);
-NVDA and JAWS experience is a Must;
-Knowledge of GUI standards, responsive Website testing, HTML, Browsers, Mobile Device testing on mobile browser (Not native mobile app);
-Knowledge of QA methodologies and software development lifecycle;
-Knowledge of Defect Management and Test Management Tools. (JIRA, ALM, etc.).
 
Nice to Have Skills
 
-Strong technical skills to understand the solution and troubleshoot issues;
-Strong problem solving skills with meticulous attention to detail;
-Pro-active, result-driven attitude with great teamwork skills;
-Experience in working with Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus.

Assignment Length
 
-2 month initial contract, likely extension beyond
