[community] Inclusive Sports - Pickering Soccer Club

Dear Inclusive Design Community members,

I'm excited to tell you about an IDRC engagement with the Pickering Soccer
Club to design and develop a program to make sports and recreation more
inclusive. This project will bring inclusive designers, Pickering Soccer
Club personnel, and Youth Leadership Group together to co-design training
programs.

Currently a recruitment and outreach initiative is underway to form the
Youth Leadership Group. This project will be of interest to people between
the ages of 18 and 29 with knowledge of barriers that prevent or limit
participation of children and youth with disabilities in sports and
recreation and/or have experience coaching/volunteering with young athletes
with disabilities. The attached recruitment flyer provides more information
about the Youth Leadership Group role.

Team members who complete the project will receive a $1,000 honorarium for
their participation.
