The "access award" is presented to a person or persons who have made a significant contribution towards improving the lives of people with disabilities by integrating them into all aspects of society. Please give some thought to the people you know who are making a difference and nominate them.
Also please do circulate this opportunity throughout your networks.

It's that time of the year again--nominations are open for the annual Access, Equity and Human Rights Awards!
Every year, the City recognizes the achievements of people who, or programs that, made a difference in Toronto by eliminating discrimination and barriers to equality. There are five awards (descriptions are attached):
* Aboriginal Affairs Award
* Access Award for Disability Issues
* Constance E. Hamilton Award for the advancement on the status of women
* Pride Award for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Trans and 2-Spirit Issues
* William P. Hubbard Award for Race Relations
