I was asked by Yuri to reach out to our community for this position:

Rangle.io is looking for a person who could perform accessibility audits for Angular Material (for Angular 2) and the content of the Angular project website on a short-term contract basis, ideally starting immediately. Angular Material is an open source UI component library used with Angular 2, one of the dominant frameworks in today's front end development. The person will be working directly with the Angular 2 team to identify accessibility gaps and to help sighted engineers better understand how users typically use a screen reader.

Ideally, we are looking for someone who uses a screen reader on a regular basis and is familiar with the main ones, such as VoiceOver, JAWS, NVDA, TalkBack, and ideally ChromeVox on ChromeOS. Familiarity with modern front end technologies are a plus.

Ideally, the candidate would be able to work out of Rangle.io's office in downtown Toronto (Richmond and Spadina), but we are open to remote work. (Remote candidates would need to be available for questions during core business hours in ET or PT.)

Ideally, the candidate would be available to start very soon and be able to work 30-40 hours per week for the first 4-6 weeks, then potentially continuing at around 10 hours per week for a few more months.

Interested candidates are invited to contact Yuri Takhteyev, the CTO of Rangle.io at <yuri at rangle.io<mailto:yuri at rangle.io>>. Ideally we are looking to move on this very quickly.

Rangle.io is a digital transformation consultancy based in Toronto, dedicated to helping startups and enterprises move to the modern web.
