[community] Dublin core in local gov

Does anyone know if there is an application profile for fhe Dublin Core metadata standard in government? I am especially interested in the use of meta-data for local government information systems but any public sector or government application profiles would be helpful

There was a working group on this issue up until 2004, and a number ofbut I cannot find later references – anyone have any leads?
