This is a one year part-time contract position working approximately 75
hours from home and at various locations in Toronto. Reporting to the
project coordinator you will be responsible for the following:
• Liaise with partner and community organizations to gather advocacy and
employment resourcematerials
• Conduct on-line research and gather educational and training resources on
advocacy,employment and accessibility legislation and standards
•Modify and tailor education/training materials to suit the needs of people
with disabilities
•Develop tools, tip sheets and check lists for advocacy
• Work with Access Technology Specialists and ASL Interpreters to provide
materials inaccessible formats
•Prepare complete training and resource materials for participants and
partner organizations
*Qualifications:*
•Excellent liaising, research and writing skills
•Experience in developing training materials
•Familiar with working with people with disabilities and diverse backgrounds
• Able to communicate promptly and clearly with diverse audience, including
providinginformation in alternate formats
• Able to access the internet and a computer, competent with Internet
searches, MS Word,Excel, email and Dropbox
•Organized, detail-oriented, diplomatic and able to meet tight deadlines

team of the AEBC Toronto chapter, you will be responsible for the following:
• Liaise with community and partnering organizations for information
sharing, participantrecruiting and group facilitation
• Recruit participants with disabilities and coordinate Focus Groups and
Education/TrainingSessions
• Plan and facilitate in-person and phone/Skype meetings
• Organize logistics such as booking rooms, ordering refreshments,
coordinating volunteers,providing disability accommodations, arranging
child care, keeping detailed records,
• Write Project Reports, including collecting and compiling reports from
