“World Health Organization Priorities for Disability and Rehabilitation:  Implications for rehabilitation research, education and advocacy”

The Rehabilitation Sciences Institute (RSI) at the University of Toronto has recently attracted interest on an international scale. In the past year alone, the RSI has been honoured by visits by many leaders in rehabilitation and continues to receive requests to visit by international scholars interested in collaboration.

In May 2016, RSI was also invited to take part in the World Health Organization Disability and Rehabilitation Partners meeting in Geneva, Switzerland.Drs. Colantonio and Nixon will report on top 10 insights from this meeting and will discuss implications for research, training and advocacy through RSI and more globally.This session is designed for anyone with interest in global rehabilitation and disability, including those within universities as well as those in civil society or community-based organizations.
